Senior Pastor
Elder Edward L. Ancrum is a native of Ravenel in Charleston County, South Carolina. He is the youngest of 8 children to Father Mike Ancrum (D) and Mother Rosa Lee Ancrum.
Elder Ancrum received his early childhood religious training and development at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Ravenel, South Carolina, under the leadership of the Late Reverend Joseph Heyward, Pastor. It was in 1976 that he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior. at an early age, he served as Chaplain Jr. Usher Board and Secretary of Sunday School.
May 1988, he graduated from Newberry College, Newberry, South Carolina, with a Business Administration degree. He is a Ministerial Education and Leadership Training Program (MELT) graduate. He attended and completed course studies at the Greater Maryland Frist Jurisdiction Charles Harrison Mason Bible Institute.
A faithful supporter of ministry with his time, talents, and treasures, he is a Servant Leader who is willing to diligently work in the ministry doing the service of the Lord.
In June 2001, Elder Ancrum accepted the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at Holy Ghost Headquarters Church of God in Christ in Mannheim, Germany.
During his tenure at Holy Ghost Headquarters, he served in numerous capacities, including President of the Usher Board, Youth Minister, Pastor Aide Committee Member, Finance Committee Chairman, Armor Bearer, Church Administrative Assistant, President of the YPWW, Men’s Choir member, and District Scholastic Motivation Ministries (SMM) Coordinator.
Elder Ancrum and his family departed Germany, arrived in Fort Meade, Maryland, in August 2005, and joined Kingdom Builders Church of God in Christ in Hanover, Maryland.
He faithfully served with Superintendent Kenneth L. Fowlkes and the church as Senior Elder, Church Administrator, Chief Armor Bearer, Youth Leader, President of the Usher Board, and Bible Teacher.
He formally served with Bishop Superintendent James E. Jordan and the Gilbert E. Patterson Memorial District as Chief Armor Bearer.
At the jurisdictional level, Elder Ancrum presently serves as a teacher at the Greater Maryland First Jurisdiction Charles Harrison Mason Bible Institute (CHMBI) and as a member of the Ordination Board.
He was privileged to be appointed by Senior Bishop Joel H. Lyles, Jr., Jurisdictional Prelate, as Assistant Deputy Chief Adjutant & Scribe for the Greater Maryland First Jurisdictional Adjutant Corps.
Currently, he serves as a National Adjutant for National Adjutancy of the Church of God In Christ, Inc.
While reading Romans 6:4, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life.”
God gave Elder Ancrum the name “Newness of Life Fellowship” to go forth, winning souls and serving the people of God!
Senior Pastor
Evangelist Linda Ancrum is a native of Elba, Alabama. She is a third-generation member of the Church of God in Christ.
Evangelist Linda Ancrum’s Christian experience and conversion began under the leadership of Pastor Willie T Harris (Harris Temple COGIC, Elba, Alabama). She was saved, baptized, and filled with the Holy Ghost at a church revival.
A Lover of God’s Word and his people, Evangelist L. Ancrum thanks God for allowing her the opportunity to serve in the ministry gift of helps.
In July 2001, Evangelist Ancrum was licensed as an Evangelist Missionary under the leadership of Elder Earl Peterson, Jr., Pastor, Bountiful Blessings Church of God in Christ Colorado Springs, Colorado. She served in numerous positions: Praise Team Leader, Youth Leader, Finance Committee member, Sunday School Superintendent, and Bible Band Teacher.
While living in Mannheim, Germany, Evangelist Missionary Ancrum served as the Women’s Representative of Holy Ghost Headquarters Church of God In Christ. During her tenure, she also served as the Inspirational Team Leader, YWCC President, Pastor’s Aide Committee President, Assistant Youth Coordinator, Prayer & Bible Band President and Teacher, Hospitality President, Anointed Voices of Praise Choir Member, and Women’s Choir Member. As part of the Germany Jurisdiction, she served as a member of the Advisory Board, YPWW Chairlady, Inspirational Team Member, Adjutant Sister, DOW Aide, Hulda Club Member, Scholastic Motivation Ministry Coordinator, Deacon & Ministers’ Wives Circle Member, C. H. Mason, and Women’s Choir Member.

She faithfully served with Superintendent Kenneth L. Fowlkes and the Kingdom Builders (KB) Ministries as President of the Hospitality Department, Female Armor Bearer and Pulpit Attendant, President of the Evangelist Board, Sunday School teacher, and member of the Kingdom Builders Women’s Department and the Outreach Nursing Home Ministry. She also served as a member of the Trustee Board, Finance Team, KB Choir, and Praise Team.
She was honored to be appointed by Senior Bishop Joel H. Lyles, Jr., Jurisdictional Prelate, as Jurisdictional Lead Sister for the Greater Maryland First Jurisdictional Adjutant Corps. Presently, she serves as a National Adjutant for National Adjutancy of the Church of God In Christ, Inc.
Currently, she faithfully serves as Servant Leader and First Lady with her husband Elder Edward Ancrum, Pastor at the Newness of Life Fellowship Church of God in Christ.
She and her husband reside in Severn, Maryland. They are proud parents and grandparents.
One of her favorite scriptures is Psalm 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thy shall go; I will guide thee with mine eye.
